More than thirty years of electrical work.
Melte OÜ is an electrical company with long experience, founded in 1992. The name is short for Mõigu Elektriteenused (Mõigu Electrical Services): the company grew out of the energy department of Mõigu KEK, a Soviet-era construction organisation, after KEK was dissolved.
We have worked with, and as a subcontractor for, many well-known Estonian construction companies, and we built the electrical installation of the United States Embassy in Lithuania.
Our clients are companies large and small, and private individuals. Alongside the electrical work itself we also offer design for all kinds of sites. We have a large body of experience and keep our methods and equipment up to date.

We cover the whole scope of electrical work – from design and installation to inspection measurements and operation. We work in Tallinn and Harju County; work outside Harju County by agreement.

Electrical installation
Electrical installation in buildings and facilities, from apartment buildings and private houses to schools, production buildings and warehouses.

Setting up and adjusting installed systems and equipment so that the installation works as the design intends.

Assembling, installing, rebuilding and upgrading main and distribution switchboards.

Audit
Electrical installation audits before commissioning and periodic audits. We check the documentation and the installation’s compliance with the requirements (Estonian Product Conformity Act, EVS-HD 60364 and others).

Electrical inspection measurements
Earth electrode resistance (re‑earthing), continuity of protective and equipotential bonding conductors, earth fault loop impedance and insulation resistance measurements, RCD testing and illuminance measurement.

Building cable lines, including street lighting and telecom ducting for residential developments.

Operating electrical installations on the owner’s behalf: keeping the installation in good order and maintained while it is in use.

Prices for technical inspection and measurement services. For installation and design work we price each job once the site and scope are clear – ask us for a quote.

A measurement point is one place we test – for example a socket, a light fitting or a protective circuit. We’ll give an exact price after seeing the site or over the phone.
Terms
- A price coefficient of 2.5 applies at weekends and on public holidays.
- Outside working hours a coefficient of 1.5 applies to measurements and 2.5 to audits.
- Audit time includes all related work: checking documentation and the site, and travel time. Instead of travel time, transport can be charged at €0.80/km.
- You can ask for an estimate of audit time in advance; a fixed agreed price is also possible for a full or partial audit.
- The call-out fee outside Tallinn is by agreement; travel costs may be added for work outside Harju County.
- Regular clients get a discount of up to 10% under contract.
- The agreed price is payable regardless of the audit result.
